The work of this Committee ceased with the dissolution of the 32nd Dáil on 14 January 2020.
The Committee on Education and Skills has a broad remit in shadowing the Department of Education and Skills. It seeks to provide a meaningful input into legislation and policy. The committee’s focus is on seeking to ensure Ireland’s education system benefits all of society and is recognised internationally as a top class system. It also aims to ensure the education system supports economic recovery and social renewal.
