Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Charlie McConalogue - the report into defective concrete blocks in Donegal; (2) Deputy Niamh Smyth - waiting times for needs assessments; (3) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - HSE funding withheld from the Irish Wheelchair Association and pay scales in section 39 organisations; (4) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - intensive care for young adults who are seriously ill at home; (5) Deputies Eoin Ó Broin and Brian Stanley - the issue of rent increases; (6) Deputy David Cullinane - development on the north quays in Waterford; (7) Deputy Thomas Byrne - delays in provision of occupational therapy for children in Meath; (8) Deputy Ruth Coppinger - the delay in processing maternity benefit payments; (9) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin - Coeliac Awareness Week, 8-15 May; (10) Deputy Carol Nolan - the use of private ambulances in the midlands region; (11) Deputy Clare Daly - primary school places for Swords in September 2017; (12) Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin - second level school places for children with special needs in the Newbridge area; (13) Deputies Bríd Smith and Richard Boyd Barrett - the provision of an update on the plight of Ibrahim Halawa; and (14) Deputy Jackie Cahill - funding to address the shortfall from the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation, ICBF, levy.

The matters raised by Deputies Charlie McConalogue, Eoin Ó Broin and Brian Stanley, Thomas P. Broughan, and Jackie Cahill have been selected for discussion.
