Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Danny Healy-Rae - the 50 years age limit for grant aid for the elderly to improve their dwellings and related rules on wall construction; (2) Deputy Michael Harty - the impact of budget tax cuts on health reform as outlined in the Sláintecare report; (3) Deputy John Brassil - to examine if arrangements can be made for the licensing in 2017 of mussel seed fishermen using UK registered boats; (4) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the operating parameters provided by Family Hubs for temporary accommodation for homeless families; (5) Deputies Seamus Healy and Michael Moynihan - to discuss concerns with the roll out of the national broadband plan; (6) Deputy Tony McLoughlin - an update on the development of the Garda regional headquarters in Sligo; (7) Deputy Sean Fleming - the future of Portlaoise mail centre; (8) Deputy Fergus O'Dowd - to review the case of a carer's allowance for a person (detail supplied) which was withdrawn causing considerable hardship; (9) Deputy Carol Nolan - to discuss the cuts to home help hours in County Offaly; (10) Deputy Peadar Tóibín - ambulance response times and the lack of fire service co-operation in County Meath; (11) Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan - concern for Irish greyhounds being exported to other jurisdictions; (12) Deputy Martin Heydon - the new endoscopy unit and associated works at Naas general hospital; (13) Deputy Dara Calleary - the delays for paediatric occupational therapy services in County Mayo; (14) Deputy Frank O'Rourke - the national home care package services and subsequent delivery to end-users; (15) Deputy Michael McGrath - to provide an update on a permanent school building for Educate Together at Rochestown, County Cork; (16) Deputies Anne Rabbitte, Catherine Connolly and Noel Grealish - the closure of the Youth Work Ireland Galway counselling service due to lack of funding; (17) Deputy Brian Stanley - funding for the completion of the Portlaoise orbital route; (18) Deputy Pat Buckley - the recent report of parents' views of the HSE child and adolescent mental health services; (19) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the action being taken to address the continuing difficulties with CAMHS in Cork; (20) Deputy Aindrias Moynihan - the status of a new secondary school at De La Salle College, Macroom, County Cork; (21) Deputy Mattie McGrath - concerns relating to additional social charge costs for nursing home residents; (22) Deputy Gino Kenny - the future of the Luggala estate; (23) Deputy Martin Ferris - cancer patients being charged by GPs in Kerry for routine phlebotomy procedures; (24) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the need for building of co-op and affordable housing; (25) Deputy Mick Barry - the action taken by crane operators seeking improvement in pay and conditions; (26) Deputy Michael Healy-Rae - the impact of reduced nursing hours on special needs students at St. Francis special school in Beaufort, County Kerry; (27) Deputy Thomas Pringle - the impact on Ireland of the UK withdrawal from the London fisheries convention; (28) Deputy Louise O'Reilly - to discuss the reduction in staffing of community teams for child and adolescent mental health services; (29) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - the recent investigations into the motor insurance sector; (30) Deputy Bríd Smith - the current status of Ibrahim Halawa; and (31) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss Policing Authority legislation.
