Before I call the Leader to announce the Order of Business, I propose for the information of the House to make an announcement on the appointment of the members of the Joint Committee on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution. On 13 April the Seanad agreed to appoint a special committee to be joined with a special committee to be appointed by Dáil Éireann to form the Joint Committee on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution. The decision of the House required me to announce the names of the Members appointed to be members of the committee on the first sitting day following their appointment. Accordingly, I announce the names of the Members appointed as follows: Senators Jerry Buttimer, Paul Gavan, Rónán Mullen, Catherine Noone, Ned O'Sullivan and Lynn Ruane.
