The committee shadows the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation and provides a meaningful input into legislation and policy. It also informs debate on the creation and retention of jobs and promoting enterprise and innovation. The committee was renamed during the Dáil term (26 Sep 2017) and was previously the Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
