Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Jim O'Callaghan - to discuss the recent fatal shootings in Dublin; (2) Deputy Niamh Smyth - the need to discuss ambulance response times in Cavan and Monaghan; (3) Deputies Mary Butler and Frank O'Rourke - to discuss the recent inclusion of a diabetes management device only for children with type 1 diabetes; (4) Deputy John Brassil - to discuss the provision of court services in Tralee; (5) Deputy Robert Troy - to discuss concerns over pension issues for staff at CIÉ; (6) Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin - to discuss the reinstatement of the Coughlanstown Road, Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare; (7) Deputies Jonathan O'Brien, Louise O'Reilly and Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss staffing levels at St. Finbarr's Hospital in Cork city; (8) Deputies Catherine Connolly and Éamon Ó Cuív - to discuss the closure of Time 4 Us, an access service for parents in Galway; (9) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss unaffordable rents outside of designated rent pressure zones; (10) Deputies Thomas Pringle, Bobby Aylward, Mattie McGrath and Brian Stanley - to discuss the withdrawal of Eir from the national broadband plan; (11) Deputy Martin Kenny - to discuss the provision of Vimizim medication for children suffering from Morquio A syndrome; (12) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - to discuss attempts to sell playing pitches at Clonkeen College; (13) Deputy Clare Daly - the appointment of Fingal County Council as the competent authority for Regulation (EU) No. 598/2014 on noise reduction; (14) Deputy Noel Rock - to provide an update on the Finglas primary care centre and GP services in Finglas; (15) Deputy Bríd Smith - to discuss facilities at the Canal Way Educate Together school in Dublin 8; (16) Deputy Martin Ferris - to discuss patient safety concerns with scans at University Hospital Kerry, and (17) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the use of Shannon Airport by the US military.

The matters raised by Deputies Jim O'Callaghan, Jonathan O'Brien, Louise O'Reilly and Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire, Catherine Connolly and Éamon Ó Cuív, and Richard Boyd Barrett have been selected for discussion.
