The Ceann Comhairle, Seán Ó Fearghaíl, visited Washington DC yesterday for a day of meetings on Capitol Hill.
The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the Congressional Budget Office with a view to informing the role of the nascent Oireachtas Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO).
The Ceann Comhairle also met the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Paul Ryan.
