Irish Language Committee continues hearings on Official Languages (Amendment) Bill 2017

The Joint Committee on the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands will continue its preliminary scrutiny hearings on the Heads of the Official Languages (Amendment) Bill 2017 this week. 

Representatives of Conradh na Gaeilge, an Chomhairle um Oideachas Gaeltachta agus Gaelscolaíochta and Criostóir Ó Faoláin Uasal will attend a meeting of the Committee at 5pm on Tuesday, 6 March, while at 6pm on Wednesday, the 7 March, the Committee will meet with Representatives from Cumann na nOifigeach Forbartha Gaeilge agus Misneach.

On Thursday, 8 March, the Committee will focus on the opportunities for school leavers and the challenges facing them in 2018-2020 when it will hear from students from Coláiste Chilliain, Coláiste Ghobnait, Coláiste Naomh Éinne and Coláiste Naomh Eoin.
