Polling in the Seanad Éireann bye-election closes at 11am on Friday, 27 April. There are two vacancies to be filled, both on the agricultural panel, arising from the resignation of Senators Denis Landy and Trevor Ó Clochartaigh.

Votes will be counted immediately after polling closes. There are two separate counts: one for the nominating bodies sub-panel and one for the Oireachtas Members sub-panel.

The count will take place in the private dining room in Leinster House. The results will be announced by the returning officer, Martin Groves, Clerk of Seanad Éireann.
