Vol. 130 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flag at Rugby Match.

Mr. Byrne

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he was consulted by the Irish Rugby Union as to the appropriate flag which should be flown in conjunction with our own flag at the recent international rugby match between Ireland and Wales at Lansdowne Road, Dublin; and, if so, if he will make a statement on the matter.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The second part does not, therefore, arise.

Mr. Byrne

Can the Minister say why the Welsh flag was not flown as well as the other flag that was flown as that day? Was there any reason for that?

The Minister has no responsibility for that.

When the Deputy asks a question why does he not listen to the reply?

Do you call it a reply?
