Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 29 May 1991

Vol. 129 No. 5

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Naughten that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance, to make moneys available for the cleaning of the Shannon from Shannonbridge to Melick Weir, in view of the very severe flooding in the Shannon Valley catchment area.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to include the coast road between Limerick and Tarbert, the N69, for investment under the Operational Programme for Peripherality.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Naughten and Neville as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Naughten's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Neville may give notice another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
