Bill Digest: Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System Bill 2024
The main purpose of the Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System Bill 2024 is to address the current pension coverage gap. It will apply to all employees who meet certain age and earnings criteria and who do not already have an occupational pension plan. Employees will make contributions from their salary, which their employer will be required to match while the State will make a top-up contribution.
