I thank the witnesses for coming in. There are the usual provisos in respect of mobile phones. I will just turn my own to airplane mode.

I propose we go into private session to deal with a number of housekeeping matters before returning to public session.

The joint committee went into private session at 1.35 p.m., suspended at 1.44 p.m. and resumed in public session at 1.45 p.m.
