Vol. 7 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LONGFORD COMPENSATION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance whether any award or compensation has been made to William Mulvihill, Rapparee Hill, Killashee, Co. Longford, for personal injuries received and robbery to the amount of £15 at the hands of British forces on April 18th, 1921, and, if not, whether he will expedite payment in this case.

No claim on behalf of the person named by the Deputy in respect of personal injuries or loss of property can be traced in my Ministry. A claim founded on an alleged robbery at the hands of British forces would, in any event, not be within the scope of the Compensation (Ireland) Commission, and as no award thereon is possible the question of payment does not arise.
