Vol. 44 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Claim for Unemployment Insurance Benefit.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that the claim to unemployment insurance benefit of Jas. S. Sullivan, Cloughlin, Bere Island, Co. Cork, has on more than one occasion been disallowed; whether it has again been recently the subject of appeal; whether the fact that claimant holds 13 acres of very poor land has been a factor in causing his claim to be rejected and if further enquiries into the case will be made.

I regret that it has not been possible, in the time available, to complete the enquiries which I have instituted regarding the case mentioned in the Deputy's question. I am not, therefore, in a position to reply fully at the moment, but I hope to be able to communicate with the Deputy at an early date.
