With the exception of Amendments Nos. 31 and 32, all the amendments from 24 to 32, that is the amendments offered to the Second Schedule, are dependent on earlier amendments, and Amendment No. 29, owing to the agreement to take Limerick county as a one constituency county, will be in order also.
Electoral (Revision of Constituencies) Bill, 1934—Committee (Resumed).
On behalf of Deputy Norton, I move amendment No. 29:—
In Part II to delete all references to the constituencies of "NorthEast Limerick" and "NorthWest Limerick" and substitute the following:—
LIMERICK. |
The County Registrar of the County of Limerick. |
— |
I hold that acceptance of that amendment is necessary now.
I move amendment No. 31:—
In Part II, page 13, in the second column opposite "South Kerry" to delete the words "The County Registrar of the County of Kerry" and substitute therefor the words "The Under Sheriff of the County of Kerry, or, on that office ceasing to exist, the County Registrar of the County of Kerry."
Is the Minister accepting it?
TIPPERARY |
The Under Sheriff of the County of Tipperary or on that office ceasing to exist the County Registrar of the County of Tipperary. |

When will the Report Stage be taken?
I suggest tomorrow week.
That is rather early, seeing all that occurred on the Committee Stage.
Does the Deputy suggest a longer time?
I think the Minister had better give a fortnight, as I am afraid the Bill is a bit mixed up at the moment.
Report Stage fixed for Tuesday, 22nd May.
Can the Minister tell us if and when any amendments of his will be circulated? We should want a day or two after seeing his amendments before putting down our own.
I cannot tell the Deputy at the moment.
But we will have a reasonable time to look at the Minister's amendments before putting in our own?
Yes.
