Vol. 54 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Scoil Brigdhe, Dublin.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the total number of students who are on the waiting list for admission to Scoil Brigdhe, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, and if he will state the age range of these children, and why these children are not admitted to the school.

The accommodation at this school is already fully taxed.

The school was established and is recognised as a research and practising school in connection with University College, Dublin, and is regarded as sufficiently large for its purpose.

Is the Minister aware that this is the only school on the south side of the city that gives primary education through the medium of Irish to the children, and will he say how many children are on the waiting list for that school, or how many children are known as being desirous of entering this school? Does the Minister propose to extend the scope of Scoil Brigdhe?
