Vol. 54 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bandon River Weir.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if representations have been made to him by interested local persons as to the necessity of removing the weir over the Bandon River near Desert Station and if, seeing that this weir is now useless for milling or other commercial uses, he will consider the advisability of acceding to the representations so made.

No representations of the nature referred to in this question have reached me. I am not, however, empowered by any of the Fisheries Acts to order the removal of mill weirs.
