Vol. 59 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prevention of Ribbon Building.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that ribbon building is going on all over the country, and whether he proposes to take any steps to check it before it is too late.

Dr. Ryan

The Town Planning Act, 1934, contains all necessary powers. The engineering and architectural professions are fully alive to the objections to ribbon development. It is not going on all over the country as suggested.

If the Deputy supplies particulars of any case I shall have the necessary inquiries made.
