Vol. 59 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing Acts.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether it is his intention to introduce proposals for legislation to extend and continue the provisions of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Acts, 1932 and 1934, and, if so, whether these proposals will be submitted in time to permit of the enactment of the necessary legislation before March 31st, 1936.

The Acts referred to enable grants to be paid for houses which comply with the statutory conditions and are completed before the 1st April, 1937. The amounts provided in the Acts are nearing exhaustion and a Bill to provide further grants will be introduced at an early date.
