Vol. 99 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation Employees' Bonus.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state whether he has received a communication from the City Manager for the County Borough of Dublin requesting sanction to increase the present cost-of-living bonus payable to employees of the Dublin municipality; and, if so, if he will indicate the date of receipt of such communication, and the nature of the decision, if any, which has been made in the matter.

I have not so far received any application. On 23rd ultimo the city manager and town clerk informed me that he had received applications from several unions for an additional emergency bonus as from 1st January, 1946, and he was informed that any proposals he has to make should be submitted for the Minister's consideration.
