Vol. 99 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Explosives for Quarrying.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that there is a serious shortage in the quantity of road material available to road contractors in West Cork owing to the lack of the explosives necessary for quarrying stones, and if he will arrange for a better supply of explosives to such contractors, through the Cork County Council, to enable the roads to be more efficiently repaired and maintained.

The supply of explosives has improved materially and the quantity available for distribution in County Cork will be substantially more in 1946 than in recent years.
