Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of County Council Machinery.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the amount of money spent on machinery for the Wexford, Wicklow and Carlow County Councils, for the past three years, and what was the type of machinery purchased.

I have ascertained from the local authorities concerned that the expenditure on purchase of machinery in the three years was:—Carlow, £9,315 12s. 4d.; Wexford, £8,438; Wicklow, £34,450 19s. 0d. The items purchased consisted mainly of road rollers, stone crushers, tar sprayers, boilers, lorries and trucks.
