Vol. 119 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Travelling Creamery Stops.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he contemplates reviewing the location of the travelling creamery stops at (a) Knockareltry, Castleisland, and (b) Kilfallinga, operated by the Decksgrove Dairy Disposal Creamery; and, if so, whether he is prepared to consider the wishes of the farmers residing in these districts.

The location of these travelling creamery stops has been chosen by the Dairy Disposal Company after careful consideration and consultation with the local farmers and taking into consideration the needs of the areas in question it would appear that the existing stops are the most suitable. It would be impossible to select stops which would be in the most suitable location for every one of the suppliers.

In the circumstances I do not propose to have the matter further reviewed at present.
