Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Excise Duties.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount of excise duty collected during the year ended 31st March, 1950, on (i) beer; (ii) betting; (iii) entertainments; (iv) licences (bookmakers, dog, liquor and others); (v) matches; (vi) spirits; (vii) sugar and molasses; and (viii) tobacco.

As the answer to this question is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—
