Vol. 121 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Swords-Dublin Road.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that the bridge on the main Dublin-Belfast road at Cloughran is too narrow; and, if so, whether he will make a grant from the Road Fund for the purpose of having it widened.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether he is prepared to make a special road grant for the purpose of widening the road from Swords to Dublin.

With the permission of the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 38 and 41 together.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies given to Deputy Dunne on the same subject on the 3rd instant.

Therefore, nothing is going to be done in connection with the roads in that area?

That is a matter for the county council. As yet, they have not submitted any scheme in connection with the project which the Deputy mentions.

And what about the £80,000 we were to get for these roads?

Who promised that?

I understand it was promised to Deputy Dunne.

By whom?
