asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the amounts expended under each heading of sub-head M (11) of Vote 27 during the year 1950-51.

Expenditure under each heading of sub-head M (11) of the Vote for Agriculture during 1950-51 was as follows:—

The farmers got very little out of it.

Deputies opposite object?

They got about four times as much from our farm improvements scheme.

They object to the bit the farmer got?

I object to their getting only one-quarter of what we gave them.
