Vol. 145 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Day Excursions to Bundoran.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the accessibility of Bundoran as a tourist centre, he will request the G.N.R. to run cheap day excursions on heir service from Dublin to Bundoran each Sunday morning returning to Dublin on Sunday evenings during the months of July and August.

Mr. Lynch

The provision of excursion trains would be a matter for consideration by the G.N.R. board. I would suggest that any representations which the Deputy may wish to make should be addressed direct to the board.

Surely in view of the fact that C.I.E. was a State subsidised body up to the present a recommendation from this House would be of some advantage in having this matter attended to ?

The Deputy has mixed his railways; I hope he does not mix his drinks in the same way.

Not much danger of that after yesterday.
