Vol. 171 No. 6

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper in the following order: Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. Should Government business conclude by 7 p.m. or earlier, it is proposed to give the remainder of the sitting up to a maximum of four hours to No. 9 on the Order Paper. If, however, Government business does not conclude by 7 p.m., it is proposed to take Private Members' Business, No. 21 on the Order Paper, at the conclusion of Government business or at 9 p.m., whichever is the earlier.

And if Government business terminates between 6.30 and 7 p.m. there will be a motion to sit from 10.30 to 11 p.m.

On this day last week I asked the Tánaiste whether it was likely that motion No. 20 on the Order Paper to-day, standing in the names of myself and Deputy Patrick O'Donnell, was likely to be resumed. On that day the Tánaiste said he would communicate with me and I have not received any communication since.

I am sorry if the Whips failed to do so. I will see they do so straight away.

There is great dissatisfaction on the part of Deputy O'Donnell and myself at this motion not being resumed because we know the Government should have been in a position to allow us to resume this motion long before now. They have been in possession of facts that fraud exists and the only reasonable conclusion that we can come to is that fraud is being concealed.

The Deputy's conclusion is quite dishonest. If he knows anything about the matter, he knows that court proceedings are pending.
