Vol. 222 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Building of Houses.

29.

asked the Minister for Local Government if there are any proposals in his Department for the erection of local authority houses at (a) Ballisodare and (b) Collooney, County Sligo; and if sites have been acquired for such houses.

There are no such proposals before my Department. I understand that the housing authority have already acquired a site at Collooney for about 40 houses and that they are considering the acquisition of a site at Ballisodare.

30.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has yet given sanction for the erection of houses at French's field, Gorey, County Wexford.

This proposal has been under consideration in conjunction with the capital allocation for housing for County Wexford in the coming financial year. The county council have now been notified of their allocation and they have been asked to decide the order of priority of the works to be carried out within that allocation.

I cannot hear what the Parliamentary Secretary is saying.

I do not think that is the fault of the Parliamentary Secretary.

I did not hear the answer to No. 30.

31.

andMrs. Desmond asked the Minister for Local Government when he expects to sanction the loan for the erection of houses in Timoleague and Dunmanway, County Cork.

No application for such a loan has been made to my Department.

I have no idea what the Parliamentary Secretary has said.

That is not the fault of the Parliamentary Secretary. It is the fault of those who are interrupting. If Deputies do not wish to listen to the replies, the Chair can do nothing.

It is impossible to listen.

Will the Deputy sit down and listen to the reply?

On a point of order, Sir, what question are we on now?

The Chair is now calling Question No. 32.
