Vol. 226 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clonmany (Donegal) Vocational School.

154.

asked the Minister for Education if he will sanction the erection of a new vocational school in Clonmany, County Donegal.

The results of the survey recently carried out by my Department indicate that the needs of the Clonmany area in the matter of post-primary education can best be served by developing the existing school centres at Carndonagh and Buncrana and by providing free transport facilities to enable pupils from Clonmany district to attend at these centres. Accordingly, it is considered that it will not be necessary to provide a new vocational school in Clonmany.
