Vol. 226 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Secondary School Accommodation.

55.

asked the Minister for Education whether the existing accommodation available in secondary schools in Limerick city will be adequate to meet the expected increase in enrolments as from 1st September, 1967; and if he will give details of the accommodation available at present and the numbers on the rolls for the current school year in all secondary schools in Limerick city.

Mr. O'Malley

The accommodation available in the secondary schools in Limerick will probably be sufficient to meet the expected increase in enrolments as from 1st September, 1967. Arrangements have however been made to provide additional prefabricated classrooms in Limerick and elsewhere, if required. Details of the secondary school accommodation available at present and of the number on the rolls for the current school year in all secondary schools in Limerick city are set out in the attached statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

The following are details of the accommodation available in September, 1965 (according to returns furnished by the schools), and the enrolments for the school year 1966-67 in all secondary schools in Limerick city:—
