Vol. 232 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bray Harbour Danger.

5.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, having regard to the occurrence of fatal accidents at Bray harbour and public concern regarding the matter, he will state what steps it is proposed to take to render the pier safer; and if a grant from his Department will be made available towards the cost of any necessary work.

This would be a matter for the Bray Urban District Council in the first instance. I understand that the council are considering whether any works to make Bray harbour safer would be practicable.

Until a proposal is received in the matter, I cannot say whether any grant might be payable by my Department.
