The latest available figures on industrial earnings, which relate to June, 1976, show that between March, 1973, and June, 1976, average weekly earnings of all industrial workers in transportable goods industries increased by 88.6 per cent. The increase in the consumer price index between mid-February, 1973, and mid-May, 1976, was 73.3 per cent.
