asked the Minister for the Environment if he will confirm that a decision has been made not to extend the sewerage scheme (details supplied) to serve Duleek national school, County Meath; if he is fully aware of the circumstances of the matter; if the school has been listed as a priority school for a sewerage extension; and when approximately the extension of this sewerage scheme will be approved.

The formulation of proposals to extend the existing Duleek sewerage scheme to serve the national school in that area would be a matter for Meath County Council. No proposals for such an extension have been received in my Department. From inquiries made of Meath County Council, however, I understand that the council consider that the cost of providing such an extension would be excessive.
