Vol. 356 No. 10

Written Answers. - Civil Defence Personnel.

541.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that four uniformed members of Civil Defence acted as security men at the meeting of Limerick Corporation on Monday March 4 and were used to prevent members of the public from attending the meeting; if the permission of the Minister was sought to use Civil Defence personnel in this manner; if he considers it appropriate that members of Civil Defence should be used as security men; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am making inquiries regarding the specific matter referred to by the Deputy and I will write to him on completion of those inquiries.
