Vol. 356 No. 10

Written Answers. - Vintage Car Tax.

557.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider the possibility of the introduction of a nominal registration tax for pre-1940 motor vehicles; or if he would totally exempt from tax those vintage cars which are only used eight to ten times a year for public rallies.

I will consider this suggestion. However, a careful examination will be required before I am in a position to make a decision in the matter, since it could have serious implications for the collection of road tax.
