Vol. 369 No. 8

Written Answers. - Boyne Drainage Scheme.

127.

asked the Minister for Finance when compensation in respect of arterial drainage under the Boyne drainage scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath who has been awaiting this payment for a very long time; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This claim for compensation is being examined by the Commissioners of Public Works in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945. The holding in question has been inspected and negotiations with the claimant will be undertaken shortly. Compensation will be paid when agreement is reached.
