Vol. 373 No. 3

Written Answers. - Allocation to Dental Schools.

98.

asked the Minister for Education the funds which have been allocated this year by the Higher Education Authority to each of the dental schools in Dublin and Cork.

The Dublin Dental School Hospital is funded directly and jointly by my Department and the Department of Health. The amount allocated by my Department for 1987 is £1,598,000.

The Higher Education Authority does not allocate funds specifically for the Cork Dental School Hospital. Part of the funding is provided by University College Cork out of the block grant-in-aid made to it by the Higher Education Authority. Funds are also provided for the Cork Dental School Hospital by the Department of Health.
