Vol. 374 No. 3

Written Answers. - Duplicate Means Tests.

55.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the present position of the discussions regarding the elimination of duplicate means tests; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

An interdepartmental working party has been established to examine the question of duplicate means testing and to report to the Government on this matter. The issue will be considered by the Government on receipt of the working party's report. It is expected that the report will be available early in 1988.
