Vol. 374 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Cavan Hospital.

122.

asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the proposed closing down of the male ward in County Cavan surgical hospital; if he has satisfied himself that this is in the best interest of medical care for the county; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The provision of hospital services at Cavan County Hospital is a matter for the North-Eastern Health Board in the first instance. The board has informed me that it has no proposals for the closing of a male surgical ward at the hospital.
