Vol. 394 No. 3

Written Answers. - New Tallaght Hospital.

81.

asked the Minister for Health if it is proposed to build a new maternity unit within the new Tallaght Hospital, Dublin 24.

Provision for obstetrics was not included in the first phase of the new Tallaght Hospital which is currently being planned. I am satisfied that the existing provision in the three Dublin maternity hospitals is adequate to meet the current level of demand for this service. The position with regard to the future will be kept under review.
