Vol. 395 No. 9

Written Answers. - Social Employment Scheme.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

40 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Labour if his attention has been drawn to opposition to and dissatisfaction with the operation of a social employment scheme in County Donegal; and if he has any plans for changes or amendments to the conditions governing this scheme.

The information sought by the Deputy regarding the operation of the social employment scheme in County Donegal is concerned with day-to-day activities of FÁS. I would suggest, therefore, that the Deputy contact FÁS direct in the matter.

I have no plans at present for changes or amendments to the conditions governing the social employment scheme.
