210 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of the deputation her Minister of State received from Waterford recently regarding the sports complex in the city; if she will outline at whose request the deputation was received; if she will list the members of the deputation; and whether any definite commitment was given regarding the completion of the complex and the time scale involved.
The Minister of State at my Department received a deputation from Waterford on 31 October 1990, at the request of Waterford Corporation.
The submission presented sought additional funding to complete the sporting facilities at Kilbarry, including the provision of an athletic pavilion with changing and toilet areas, storage premises and fixed terrace seating.
These proposals will be considered by my Department in the event of any further funding becoming available under the regional sports centre capital programme.
