Vol. 408 No. 6

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Treatment.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Question:

80 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the refusal of the Southern Health Board to carry out orthodontic treatment on a person (details supplied) in Cork who is in need of this treatment due to a hereditary problem.

I understand from the Southern Health Board that the reason the person referred to has been refused orthodontic treatment is that she does not conform to the guidelines for the provision of orthodontic treatment laid down by my Department.
