Vol. 410 No. 6

Written Answers. - Payments to Dental Surgeons.

Richard Bruton

Question:

125 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that dental surgeons undertaking work for medical care patients of health boards are being paid six months in arrears; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The arrangements for payment to private dental surgeons providing services for medical card holders are a matter for each individual health board.

In most instances accounts for payment are processed within a few weeks by the health board.
