154 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Education if she will now confirm the appointment of an additional teacher in Milverton national school, Skerries, County Dublin in view of the fact that (1) this appointment was sanctioned in 1990 and (2) the accommodation has recently been sanctioned.
As the Deputy will be aware the staffing of national schools for a par ticular year is determined by the enrol ment in the school on 30 September of the previous year. This is in accordance with the agreement between the Govern ment and the INTO under the Pro gramme for National Recovery.
I am pleased to confirm that my Department have approved the appoint ment of a second assistant teacher to Milverton national school for the 1991- 92 school year.
