Question:183 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if he intends to provide a music teacher on a shared basis for schools in Clonmel, County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have not received any proposals in this regard.
Teachers are allocated by my Department on the basis of the enrolment in individual secondary schools or of the total enrolment in a vocational education committee scheme. Within this context my Department would encourage the sharing of teachers between schools.
