114 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of botanists and zoologists employed by his Department to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the reports submitted on behalf of farmers by rural environmental protection scheme consultants. [7184/95]

Agri-environmental plans prepared by approved planning agencies on behalf of farmers under the rural environmental protection scheme are checked by my Department's Agricultural Inspectorate who have the required qualifications for this work.
