Written Answers. - Trim (Meath) Courthouse Refurbishment.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

28 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Justice the progress, if any, that has been made in the proposed refurbishment of Trim Courthouse, County Meath; and when work on the project will commence. [12798/96]

Planning permission is currently being sought for the refurbishment and extension of Trim courthouse. It is expected that construction work will commence before the end of the year.

On completion of the project Trim Courthouse will have the following facilities — three courtrooms, Judges' rooms, a family law suite, a victim support room, consultation rooms, a secure detention area, a jury room, public toilets and disabled access as well as modern offices for the staff of the Circuit and District Courts.
